If you're not wanting a microphone, how about a pair of Sennhesier 497s?

    http://www.askdirect.co.uk/uview?cal...351&topcatid=7

They look a bit cheap, but they are very good headphones for the money (RRP is £50 as far as I'm aware, but you can often find Sennheisers for much below their retail price, such as that above store).

I remember reading about headphones, that would produce the same pleasure as a 5.1 set. Anyone knows about it? Its something like souround headphones if that makes sence.

Expensive compared to the prices at askdirect.co.uk.

And the surrond sound headphones are the Zalman ones - I think there is a review on the hexus site..

If you want to spend lots of money get a set of DSP-500's. Absolutely amazing quality, you don't need a sound card to use them. They cost for you VAT payers about £80 i think

I've heard that a good pair of headphone (e.g. some of the Sennheiser) can do pretty convincing surround.

Sennheiser really are top dog by quite a way when it comes to headphones. Have a look around, they have a wide selection of headphones to suit both taste and budget.

The zalmans are good for gaming xperiences provided you have a sound card that supports it..

The Zalman Headphones are excellent in my opinion. For Gaming, DVD Movies and Music, they provide a quality and thorough sound in true surround. This is achieved by having 6 speakers in the headphone, 3 each side (2 front, 2 centre and 2 rear).

Well worth the purchase if u:

    a) can afford them
    b) can find somewhere that sells them.
