    Question Silent 939 Cooler

Slowing building my new Media Center and am looking for a quieter cooler than the stock 3200+ one.

Anybody tried one of these - Cooler Master Susurro - claimed to be only 16dB

Any other suggestions for anything decently priced??

    Si

Akasa ev0 120 is around 15db, havent tried one yet mysef. Its ment to be a slight improvement on the stock cooler for temps, but a good improvement for sound. Its £35 from scan, am half tempted although I should really sort my PSU first.

sounds good to me what socket tho 939?

Thermaltake big typhoon with a decent fan
Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower Cooler tho might be a bit big if size is a concern its on deal of the day at scab
to be honest that cooler master claims to be low profile so that sounds a good choice

I think he's putting this into a relatively low profile casing.. so all them XP-120, CNPS9500 or Big Typhoon are out of the question..

That LP cooler seems reasonable.. should serve well as a media centre PC..
    Me want Ultrabook

I haven't decided on a case yet, but will be airing on the side of low profile just in case.

After finding the Xbox360 interfaces seemlessly with Media Center, I am quite tempted to leave the htpc in the study and use the Xbox as the frontend instead though.

Installed my new components over the weekend, the Susurro and Tagan are indeed very very very quiet Only problem I have is the motherboard reporting a CPU Fan error as its only spinning at 700rpm.

Just need to replace the hard drive when I have the money.
