"Setup program detect no asus motherboard"

..is the message I recieve when trying to install AsusUpdate to flash my BIOS on my Asus A8N-SLi Premium, any ideas why I should be getting this folks? Everything is installed correctly in device manager, and AI Booster even overclocks the FSB with no problems.

    Please advise,

    Tobe

You checked the site for the latest version ?
If its an old one, it may not support it.

Indeed I have, the one off the supplied CD, the latest version, and one in between that is still available for download.

Get a slightly different message each time, followed by the same "Setup program detect no asus motherboard" message.

When you installed your motherboard did you do a clean install of Windows? If not, that's probably your answer.

I haven't looked at the ASUS site recently, but I remember runnimng ASUS update from a floppy. Set up the bios to boot floppy first, and run ASUS update with the updated BIOS image also on the floppy... Becomes OS independent then.
