Hi,
I'm about to buy an 350w enermax psu with fan control knob on the back, and i was wondering how you know how low to set it. Presumably if i set it to the lowest setting and then run it hard it'll overheat, so how do i know where to stop?

I have the 460w version of this, I actually notice NO difference in noise when set to low and set to high
I've run a 2.2ghz amd system with it on near minmum for several months with no ill effects - but you might as well at least turn it up to the point just under it seeming to add to the overall ambient noise level.
It does make a noticable difference to the noise on my 550watt version..

Same here...I think it's because the controller only changes the speed of the 80mm fan, not the 92mm one as well.Originally posted by KDH

Just get an antec truepower, they are much better....... simple!
yeah but pricier too!
For joy, apparently, it was all Franny could do to hold the phone, even with both hands.
By a real small amount, it'd be worth it in my opinion!
You must be deaf then, if i crank mine up to full it sounds like an aircraft taking off..Originally posted by KDH

having looked at the price, ive decided the 330w truepower is worth it.

It's running in a TT xaser 3 alu case with 7 case fans and a volcano 11 though.
