What should I do with this 146?

    Hi guys,

I recently won a new sealed opteron 146 CABNE, i got it, installed it and got 2.6ghz at 1.4v.

I aint too keen on overclocking, so I put it on ebay-

Plus my motherboard sucks. Anyway, do you think this is a fair price? I want to get enough for a dual core, for my work.

    Thanks people.

u get charged a listing fee if based on your strarting or reserve or buy it now price

you should have just sat it at 99 pence as it will rocket up

however 176 is a bit dear i think.....

Especially as all buyers need to do is look at your feedback to see you only bought it for £142...

£176 is probably too much, I would have started it at £1 as there is no way that it wouldn't sell well especially as it is a CABNE. Get some higher overclock results and that should help it sell for more.

Also, you are not supposed to mention prviate sale, Ebay may ban you for that.
You don't say if it is retail or OEM.
    Good luck with the sale!

was this just an attempt to attract viewers to your ebay listing ?

if you want users to buy try putting it in the for sale section and give people a proper chance

also .... you dont get charged a listing fee or final value fee using this so you could drop your price and offer it on the for sale section

OEM 146s are still freely available for £129:19 inc vat anyway! Okay, so there's no heatsink and no guarantee as to overclockability. £180.89 would get you a 148 retail pack running at 2.2GHz.

Hey thats quite a good idea. But no, it is'nt. Im new to the hole ebay thing and I have only sold 2 previous items.

Zad, this is a overclockable 146, it will reach 2.8ghz which is not garunteed with other newer chips. Thats a FX57 which costs £500 more.

Saying that, I reduced the asking price.

    Thanks.

2.8 might not be guaranteed with newer chips but with the 2.2 core opteron and its higher multiplier u need alot less fsb or whatever its called on the 64bit range to hit the higher clocks

it also lets you get closer to the magic 3ghz mark alot easier

The opteron 146's multi is not too low. 10x is fine.

280 FSB is very possible on most respected motherboards. I agree that 300 is pushing it on most cheap-middle boards.
