    x800pro vs 6800gs

Hi, this is mainly a question about agp graphics cards.

I know the 6800gs agp is not out yet but we know roughly how well it will perform, the pcie benchmarks.

My question is should I get an x800 pro for £175 or should i wait for the 6800gs with sm3 support?

The specs of my sytem are:

    A64 "venice" 3000
    Dfi NF3 ultra
    600w noistaker enermax
!gb of ddr 2-2-2-5 corsair pro ram

from custom pc from what ive read the 6800 gs is a bit better then the 6800 gt and the 6800 gt rival was the x800 and the gs chip is made slightly different and better giving a better gaming perfomance but lets see what every1 else thinks

iirc the AGP 6800gt and x800xl were roughly neck and neck performance wise.

    x850xtpe > x850xt >x800xl > x850pro > x800pro > x800GTO2 > x800GTO > x800nu > x800GT from here

So if a 6800gs is around the same performance mark plus SM3.0 I would learn towards that one.

Yeah between the 2, probly go for 6800GS, although the X800Pro also overclocks very very well, and will perform better with AA/AF. The X800Pro can also be flashed to 16 pipes, to a X800XT PE, if it's the correct kind.
