Thinking it through - if I'm not going 'all-out' with a GPU/CPU upgrade right now, would it be best to hang fire on the RAM too, as I'm sure the new chipsets planned for next year will need a different type of RAM or something? If not DDR2 then something better??

As for the next generation GFX - I've not really been keeping an eye on NVidia's next move - what's the story there?

Can I have a few more suggestions for a decent overclockable 2GB RAM pair? Is OCZ still the way to go? They have sooooo many products now, it's tough to know what to go for! It's nice being able to run 300+ FSB to get the over clocks that I do with my current sticks, but not essential I guess, if I gain in other areas for having the extra memory.

Well your right about the CPU, but why does the ram have to be overclockable? Just use a divider, it doesn't hurt A64 at all.

Yeah you can use a divider but benching it gives me better scores and I have also found that 1:1 gives about 3-5FPS which can make all the difference if your gaming at a higher res

So I tend to try to keep it al 1:1
