    VIA EPIA ME6000 CPU temps?

Does anyone know what maximum temps are safe for this board?

When running a folding client it rises to 73C measured with MBM5. With no folding running its around the 50C mark.

The case is fairly open and has a 120mm exhaust fan, case temps are reported as 19C.

Would it be a good idea to attach a fan to the CPU heatsink? although it is designed to be passive?

    Cheers
    Phil.

mine ran around 66+ when active under load and passively cooled, so I stopped running stuff like that on it. I was going to say, as long as it's under 70 then don't worry about it, but yours is over, so yes perhaps more airflow would be good. Are you able to add some airholes right next to the cpu heatsink? perhaps this would cause better airflow over the heatsink?

Thanks, i'll look at more airflow at the heatsink.

I thought 70+ would be pushing it.
