    Overclocking Advice

Hey guys, i wanting to overclock this 3000+ venice, but not totally sure how to go about it.
I know apparently the FSB * 9 relates to the cpu speed, and people seem to say that this cpu runs at 1.81 ghz - which is shown in the pic. However, my FSB shown in ntune appears to be 267-, so * 9 = 2403??? Which means the cpu is running at 2403 is it not? Im very confused!

Cheers if you can help me!

    Kev

Windows looks to be correct i.e 1.81 Ghz speed for CPU. Not familiar with ntune but that does not look right.

There are two things you can do to confirm FSB. One is to look in the bios (which is where all overclocking should be done imho - I don't like software overclocking, not enough control for my liking). Second is to download cpu-z (google it) this will tell you exactly what the fsb is aswell as other information.

Remember when overclocking the fsb to do it in small increments of say 10 - 15mhz and check your system temps before continuing on up.
