AMD hypertransport

hi, i was wondering what is this hypertransport. can someone pls explain it do me? how doe sthis affect my computer? i got an ASUS SLI-Deluxe and the bios that came with it allows me to change the hypertransport multiplier. It is currently set to auto. what does that mean? can i know what is the recommended value to set it to?

leave it auto unless your overclocking then make sure the total doesnt exceed 1000 (FSB x Multi) http://www.short-media.com/review.php?r=206
