Hello eveyone.
I am looking for your advice on how to spend my money on my PC.
I have about £250 and im looking to buy a graphics card for £100. A motherboard which will let me use 3ghz processor and can hold 4 slots of memory(the cheaper the better)
Can u tell me what is the best graphics card and motherboard around
thx

Buying a better motherboard does not automatically increase performance by a large margin (assume your old one is still working). So even a cheap motherboard, from brands like ASRock and ECS will be good enough for almost all purpose.
For graphics, you may be better off buying a 6800LE rather than a 6600GT

Hey! My son hijacked my identity!
What he's really after is a cheap 939 mobo (he probably picked up the 3Ghz reference without realising that it related to Intel CPUs - he doesn't understand yet that size isn't everything!).
I think arthur is right about the video card. I told him a low-end 6800 might be better than a 6600GT.
Anyway as he's started it, I'm looking for a cheap case and mouse for his sister. Not really a games player (maybe like Sims2 and Flash, but not FPS). Wants to be Silver/Black & Cheap. Case without PSU, and preferably removable mobo tray and something to cover up the drives being beige. Thought maybe the PCI cases on EBuyer.
