    2Gb of RAM?

    Sooooo.
I have a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (nForce 3) with an A64 Winchester 3000+ and 2x512 sticks of CorsairXMS. Is it a good or bad idea to get another 2x512 sticks? I've heard it's a bad idea to use all four slots, but does it really have that much of an effect?
    Alternative suggestions welcomed!
    Thank you.

Your memory speed will drop to DDR333 (or even 266) and requires 2T timing. You'll probably not feeling the effect if you're not overclocking.

Ooooooh I am though. Already running it at 333, to allow for my CPU overclock. Is it gonna be bad for me, with an overclock?

Is your ram running at 333 or set to 333 in the bios? What is your CPU running at?

Set to 333 in the bios. My CPU is running at between 2.1 and 2.2 depending on what overclocking mood my PC is in.

I guess thats the problem with Winnies... 333MHz can be painful if u bench..

But running 4 sticks will not hamper any overclocks on ur CPU.. if ur getting 2.6ghz on 2 sticks.. ur still going to get 2.6Ghz on 4 sticks.. just that ur going to have ur memory running a tad slower (maybe 266 divider) just to keep things below 333MHz 2T...

or you could sell the current stuff and get 2x1GB, but OC 1GB stick are expensive and not as good as 512 sticks.

Yeah, I know that 1Gb sticks are a bit sketchy, so would rather go for 4x512 (I think). Thank You!
