Need Help! Boot Problem. Urgent
Hey guys as u can see my spec below i was waiting on my mushkin ram.
Well im only after putting it in and also chaging the stock cooler to an xp-90 thermaltake heatsink.
Now it wont boot and just gives me a longish beep then nothing then longish beep then nothin.... and so on. Dont know whats wrong with it. Any ideas?

What happens if you put the old memory back in? Have a look at the Asus site to see if you can find out what the long beep on the POST means (it is an error code)

Sounds like an overheating beep code - ensure that the new heatsink is installed correctly and that the fan is connected.

Try refit your memory in another pair of slots. I think my A8N-SLI Deluxe&Premium did that too when the memory was not installed properly. Also try to clear the CMOS.

AFAIK that beep is mem problem, reseat the kit or try different slot
