Hi
I'm having to do a major upgrade to my PC after my GF6800GT went bust (it's AGP, and I just don't see the point getting a GS, as it's a £150 step backwards). I'm also on S754, not 939, so that means a mobo and cpu change to try and ensure futureproof computing.
Anyway, I'm also going to take this opportunity to change cases. I'm currently using a Black XClio Jr, which I love the look of, but it makes far too much noise (the TV volume has to be raised 10 levels when it's in the room!). Basically, I'm after a standard or micro ATX case, which is good quality, looks smart (nothing vulgar), and is above all, QUIET!!!. I'd quite like a desktop/HTPC case, but these are not neccessarily going to fit all the space and noise requirements. It needs to hold 2 HDDs, and a 3.5' Card reader (unless the case has one integrated). I have a PSU that I can use.
Budget is not actually limited as such, but I'd prefer to spend around the £50-70 mark, and will possibly creep up to £100 if it's a trully stunning case.
Current possible targets are the Thermaltake Tenor or Soprano, the 'Nitro' on xcase.co.uk, the Gigabyte Aurora (although it looks a little wobbly) and the Aspire Xplorer.
I'd really appreciate any comments on these or recommendations you can provide.
Thanks very much.
P.S. If it's available at Scan, all the better!
