Get a Zalman CNPS-9500 or Thermalright XP-120 and you'll be fine. If you do go liquid don't buy half-decent stuff, get the best stuff.

Hows the MoBo holding up I have 2 firlends who have had Nightmares with there delux boards the onboard cooling fan buring out cause it spins at a billion miles an hour. Burnt out twice for the one guy.

Both have now switched to the Premium Edition and the problem has gone due to it uses a heat pipe to disperse the heat.

Im not even sure whether u can still grab hold of a GTO*square*.. they've been really really difficult to find lately..

If u can get one, great.. they guarentee 16pp and almost at XT speeds.. If they dun fall, 6800GS can better Ultra speeds anytime.. I've posted a thread a few weeks ago getting some comparisons of GTs versus GSs when overclocked.. Apparently 6800GS clocks like weeee.. Bested my 430/1200MHz and ALSO my very ultra super marginally stable 450/1200MHz 6800GT by like 20fps and 15fps in RTHDRIBL and like 700pts and 600pts in 3Dmark05.. *shame*...

well, the GT is a little dated.. and the .11micon manuf will aid any overclocks u have on the GS.. I've seen ppl getting their cores all the way up to 520MHz/1200MHz.. that way.. it'll rival even the X850XTPE and possibly some parts of 7800GT at stock..

But that again its pretty subjective... it is shown however that it will by itself hold ground against a dated 16pp GT, thanks to its overclockability..

I'm trying not to admit this, but a 520/1200Mhz 12pp GS will smack a 430/1200MHz GT very very hard (still sobbing)... they also handles newer stuff like HDR and SM3.0 more gracefully than did the aging mighty GT.
