so i could have a system with a 15 inch crt made up or i could get the good deal on the 20 inch dell help me lol

It's your choice but I'd always focus on the system first and then worry about the monitor later.

I was in the same situation as you in the summer. Either get a TFT or a graphics card. I chose the monitor and I haven't looked back.
I went from a 14.1" CRT to a 17" TFT and I've seen the benefits of it more than I would have from a new graphics card as I dont game that often.
If you really need the CPU and graphics card, I'd go for them. If they will last you another few months, I'd get the monitor and save up for the CPU and graphics card.

yer i mean i have no working system at my house this being my mums house so i will have a system if i buy the cpu and gfx but if i get the monitor i will have to save for the gfx but then it will take me the same amount of time to save for another monitor so wicked!!!!!!!!!!1

Hmm. I'd go for the cpu and gfx then. Without them, a monitor would be useless right? :p
Another thing is that if you went for the monitor, by the time you had money for cpu and gfx, they will be cheaper or there will be better stuff out.

He's after a monitor that's in the post-xmas sales though.
That said, if it's going to take you longer than a couple of months to get the money together, it's worth waiting and buying the lot in the spring.

mmm nah it will take like 2 weeks lol im gunna get the monitor
and the cpu then it will take a little longer to get the gfx card
