a64 dtr cpu incorrect multiplier help!

hi, i have a msi k8t neo mobo. i know its crap. i bought an xpm 2800+ chip (sempron) but it clocks to 800 mhz (200x4) instead of 200x8 (1.6ghz) it also says its an opteron150!! (i know impossible on s754) anyway, i tried gcpuid & increased vid to 1.4v then fid but anything above 4.5 is a guaranteed lockup using core cell fsb can run stably @226 cpu temp36°. then bought mobile a64 3400 same problem with cpu multi but chip is recognised as a64 3400 HEEELP!

Try not to use half multipliers. They're not really implemented as such on A64 boards. I presume you've tried 8x with the same results?

Also stick to default voltage and @ 200MHz. Check the HTT is at 4x and turn cool and quiet off.
