    Possible h20 Shuttle 2... if i cba... :/

    haro all.

It is i, the original h2o shuttle doer person. Not that it was very good or anything - which is why i am posting this.

If , and when i get me shuttle stuff together, im thinking about doing another hto shuttle, but with the gfx card water cooled too.

Crazy idea but my current scribblings deem it easily possible so im just pondering it.

    Anyone any thoughts ?

    Only real thought is... Why?

    - Will it cool that much better than air cooling?
    - Will it be much quieter?
    - Will it be partly external (a big no no)?

If u're gunna do it again, do it properly, get specialist small parts and sacrifice your 5.25" and 3.5" bays, placing the hdd, or a laptop hdd on the side or underneath of the 3.5" bay (easily done).

I've seen one WCed shuttle, which was done via one of those 5.25" bay kits, it didnt work too well and so ended up in another system after a while!

TBH its not really worth it as the Shuttles are pritty quiet with there stock heatpipe!

It won't be quieter and it won't be cooler. Only reason for doing this is the novelty value really.

    helluva
Well if it was all internal then congrats but I don't see how it was cooler if totally internal. Secondly it was quieter? Well to be honest why not game the result from changing the fan on your ICE? Most of the noise IFYWF is from the PSU fan after the ICE change.

Once i start my job and get my first pay check im gunna totally quieten down my Shuttle. It only has a Duron 1.6 in it so i can easily put a Silent Pabst fan and a silent 40mm fan in there and voila - no noise.

Next i gunna upgrade the hdd to a new 120GB hdd, either Seagate or Maxtor.

And finally im going to put my GeForce FX5200Ultra in there with either a heatpipe or a bodge job cooling system - Might cut a 60/80mm blowhole over the AGP card and find a low profile/silent 60/80mm fan.
