Looks good, start building. Be sure to ground yourself etc..... (watch some video on youtube on a how to)

If u can wait, benchmarks for the new GT's should be out soon find out whether it can play the new games like Crysis.

Yup. Anything over 500 is more than enough for overclocking the q6600. Infact the PSU only really comes into play when you have a power hungry GFX card like a 8800GTX, im assuming the GT's only need one power connector.

If you look at my spec 520W is enough.

    Re: New system build

    I'll make a few suggestions...

    - Spend a few extra pounds on a BFG (or EVGA) branded card for the extra warranty and piece of mind. You'll even get a slight overclock too.

    - Ballistix RAM direct from Crucial (for about £60) would be worth considering with tighter timings and better memory chips. They're better overclockers too.

    - I haven't used a P5k-E but just a note that it uses more power (and hence produces for heat) than some of the competition. Also I believe it is largely based on the p5k deluxe which suffered from SATA and raid issues (although the latter might be fixed now).

    - I'm not sure how well those fans perform but you might want to check this out roundup: to get the right airflow / noise balance.

    - Is the 80GB a backup drive or to put the OS on? Either way I would probably opt for Western Digital or Seagate over the Hitachi. The Seagate carries a 5 year warranty too.

    - I'm not sure if the memory cooler is necessary with two sticks unless you plan on doing some extreme overlocking . It can be slightly whiny too.

    - Talking of coolers, what are you using for the CPU? Hexus have done a good roudup lately here to help you.

Also for masscrazy. Benchmarks are already out for the 8800GT and here is an article on Crysis with various benchmarks (including the 8800GT): Link

    For PC2-6400:

    Microdirect: £53.46 + ~£5

    Crucial: £61.09 + free delivery

However, for the PC2-8500, it's a different story I agree.

Add it to the basket and see, it's £3.99 delivery which comes to £58.15, still cheaper than crucial.

True there is a slight difference. But it's not "much less than from crucial" as originally stated.

if your building for silence, i don't think you will want the dominator fan. it's very loud (good airflow though)
