Will you be running the opteron at stock or overclocking?

Would recommend the Arctic Cooler 7 - cheap and very cool. also pretty quiet as well.

    Get it here

As for a case - there lots of generic options available and its really about your own personal asthetics. Something with a 120 intake and a 120 exhaust would be ideal - try to steer away from 80mm fans.

You may want to flash your board if you want the latest features - see here for further details (Asus forum).

I have the above board and PSU.

I am using a ThermalTake Big Typhoon Cooler (Big, but fits just fine and cools memory down) - £25

    Antec SLK3000B Case - £35

Sorry thats the one I was referring too - got my numbers mixed up.

Some hsfs require there own special mount where you then have to remove the back plate of the motherboard hsf mount and replace it with another. The Freezer 64 literally just bolts directly to the already exisitng mount so its very easy to fit.

If you can strech to it, I can highly recommend the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro

But if you plan to overclock speed a little more on the cooler. (u'll wish you had once you get the overclocking bug)
