I've seen RAM about with stuff like '64x64' and '128x64' after it,
apparently the 128x64 stuff doesn't work in AMD64 setups, but a) what does it mean and b) am I correct in saying it wont work with an AMD64/X2?
Cheers,
David

128 means the density of the memory chip and 64 means the number of chips on the stick of ram. The stick might look like only 16 pieces but it is referred as 64 which I also don't know why.
128x64 is a 1GB stick. Some Athlon XP platforms might have trouble using those ram, but new mobos (Since NF3/i945) should handle 1GB sticks without any big trouble.
As long as it is double sided and 1GB per stick not 2GB then it will work with an A64/X2
Excellent - thanks very much!
So would something like this be suitable: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=156700

that should work on an A64 setup np
Geil are another good brand to go for.
