    Whats your favourite SFF PC?

I made a post like this before the bignuke(tm) so i thought i'd create another one

    Whats your favourite SFF PC?

    --------------

My favourite SFF PC has gotta be my old Shuttle SV24. I loved that little case. The first of SFF range by Shuttle. Groundbreaking!

Awesome little case. I really enjoyed modding it too. 60mm Blowholes, perspex facia, 60mm LED fans. etc..

    ahhh the good old days.......

Spec's wise its gotta b the SN41G2, all you need in a box tbh, shame they changed the cases to them crappy all ally jobs IMO, the ones with the acrlyic fronts were so easy to mod, make a pic print it out and then stick it behind your frontage, takes prolly, what, 20 minutes to make a Shuttle as unique as the image u pic...
These new ally efforts take somethin a bit different to make them different...

I'll always have a soft spot for the SV24. It was the first of the commerical shuttles as was actually alot smaller than todays XPCs.

It was unique and original, something rare in the PC Market.

think i might be in the minority by a long way but i actually like the SK41G.... it has the cool 2nd gen design like the SB51G and SS51G, but it has an AGP slot unlike previous AMD incarnations of the shuttle.

I also like the SN41G2, but they should have done a pre-made window or something like that to spice it up a bit.

For nostalga - the SV24 - that's what got me into SFF in the first place!

For a small, sexy & very practical package: LEX Light

Currently my fave SFF cube is the Biostar iDEQ.

Ultim8pc: How much noise does the iDEQ generate compared to the Shuttle XPCs? Also which would you reccomend the P4 or AMD one? last and not least how much space is there for a AGP graphics card and a pci tv card. I would consider the following:
Sapphire Radeon 9600 pro ultimate edition and
    Hauppauge WinTV Nova-t
Am I mad thinking I could squeeze that in?

My 200N is quieter than the SN45.
Is the ultimtae edition the one with the Zalman fitted? If so, you won;t be able to make use of the PCI slot....

    Hope this helps.

all shuttles out now are flawed in some way...ram voltage to low, fsb cap on the sn61g2, 9700/9500 onboard sound bug with the sn61g2 etc

i think the sn65g2 and the sn85g4 will be a desktop beaters...shame the g4 case is fugly

SN41G2 for me. It simply LOOKS so much better than the SN45G - those acrylic fronts are so ugly. The all aluminium look is definately the best imo.

    Also with my XP2500 @ XP3200 + Raddy 9700 pro + Terratec Aureon Space 7.1 soundcard + 120GB 8MB cache drive it absolutely rocks.

I just built a IDEQ 200n and really like it (so quiet)
This is my first SFF machine so I can't compare it with another.
I did have a heck of a time deciding which one to get.

I loved the FICs Ice-Cube Design but it is a Intel only option.
The Shuttle SN41G2 was my choice for a while then I flip flopped
to the AOpen EZ18 with it's hidden drives and slick finish.

Then I found the IDEQ and chose it for it's Raid Serial-ATA and AMD support.
I'm glad thats all over with. lol

I'm on my 3rd Shuttle now and its definitely the best so far. Lots of features and has been very reliable - SB75G2
