    sata2 on sata

    im thinking about ordering this hdd

    but im not sure my mobo has sata2 im just wondering is sata2 back compatable

    Yes, but you will only be able to use the features provided by your SATA controller. Which make very little difference in real world terms

    just check the instructions on the hard drive im assuming thats what your getting, on mine u just change the jumper over or take it out in some cases and away u go

    Yeah, it should work, SATA2 uses the same connector as SATA, and is backwards compatible. However, you will find that the bandwidth is limited, but very small difference in real terms.
