your scores are good. You have to pay attention to all of the components in the system. If you got your FSB up to 147? Then you're at 3087Mhz now CPU speed? If so then you have the 533Mhz FSB 2.8 chip (2.8B). Which is much slower than the 800Mhz FSB 2.8 chip. (2.8C) And you dont have HT which might help a little bit in some benchmarks.Originally posted by paradidle
well chris, after a bit of twiddling around in bios, I set the performance level to ultra turbo , put the voltages up (god Im stupid), then using the core centre, i pushed the fsb up to 147.
I eventually got 52 fps on comanche 4. Which is good.
I also stuck my pc thru the 3dmark03 test and got a score of 57xx
tho I heard about the ati 9700 of reaching 6xxx ....
how can this be??
All in all, you're doing fine for your system specs I think. You're just comparing yourself to the top of the list (very tweaked systems running at higher FSBs) not the middle of the performance pack or average.

yea its the 533mhx
meh, all is still good tho.
Thanks for all ur help!
u can help me in a few months when the 3.2'sGhz come down in price, help me fiddle them to bits.
You could probably get your processor to 3.2Ghz.
You might have to change the memory ratio, depending on what its on already.
And raise (or lower) the voltage. (you may have it higher than you need and it could be causing too much heat)
Buying a 3.2 probably wont get you all that much higher, unless it based on the .09 micron Prescott core.
