    Agreed....that's a lot of money to be spending on one component.....but then, there will always be people that want the fastest available, no matter the cost....

    Just get a 4400+, clock it, and save yourself £500.

    for that price, I can buy 2 4400+ and loads of memory. Gets more work done on 2 dual core rigs... Then again, FX has been rediculously priced from day one... The same is said for the Intel EE other than they're even less value for money compared to the FXs.

    I wouldnt be sure of spending money on this at all, as there is talk of quad core inside this year so its not even as though it will last a spectacuarly large amount of time
