Overclocked E4300 Cooling

OK - just ordered an ASUS P5B Delux, E4300, 2GB DDR667, case etc.

With the intention of clocking, and in view of the shortage of the highly recommended Arctic cooler, will my exisiting Akasa AK-961 cooler provide decent cooling over the stock cooler to give me decent oc'ing? Or is it worth waiting/finding an alternative to the Arctic?

If you have the intention of overclocking, why on earth did you order DDR667 ram? Considering the price of DDR800 ram or higher, why be limited?

How far will I get with the 667? Only cost £40 so not a biggie and can be utilises elsewhere.

With a 4300, you could get up to about 3ghz before you need to overclock the ram. Thats at 1:1.

No idea on the cooler, never heard of it to be honest.

well...no harm in trying I guess. Bound to be better than the Intel for sure. I had in my HTPC but was a little noisy for the living room.

That cooler will probably be better than stock, but not by much. You might be better off going for something like the arctic freezer 7 pro as its dirt cheap and cools reasonably well.
