I thought this was because of a loose cable or something...but now i don't think so.
If i return it back to Dell, what can i expect? Straight swap? Return and wait for new one...?
Here is what i'm talking about.....it's not normal right??

A random guess but does it require a dual link cable and dual link DVI port to run? and do you have these?
nope dual link stuff going on....just got me standard DVI in...and also a scart in for XBox..which is switched off. Whether the scart is in or not, makes no diff...still get the green half randomly.
sounds like u will be calling bombay customer services for a new one m8....lol
The Tech support is good once you get through to them. Getting through takes a while but make sure you say its a monitor and you hopefully will get through to Ireland First
Blag the fact that you've tested it in every possible way and you should get next business day replacement if its under warranty :)
Damnit! They offered my a straight swap but the monitor i would be getting is a refurb....eww, i dont want a refurb!
So i asked to upgrade or swap for another model, and the dude said i need to speak to manager who will call me back.
What do you peeps think i should do??
The monitor i've got is a Dell 26" W2600 LCD TV/Monitor. Tbh, i would rather pay a lil extra and swap for a 24" Dell Ultrasharp rather than a refurb..
Well, there is nothing wrong with it being a refurb. They worked well from what I heard. If they're giving all of you a new one, where would the fixed one go?
Hopefully the fixed one will be sold cheap in the Dell Outlet section??
Don't really fancy a refurb...especially since i paid for a new one and it was faulty since the beginning. Stupid me thought it wa sa loose cable and left it, so 30 days has passed. Damnit!
Dell monitors are shyte - built by fecking chimpanzees
I called Dell regarding a exchange, but since they dont have any new ones left, all they can offer me is:
a) a refund
b) a refurb + £75 back to my credit card
I'm thinking of going for the refurb + £75....but from posts from other forums, refurbs are a bit hit and miss. My LCD is perfect besides this fault....which rarely occurs (2-5% of time). Don't fancy a refurb which might be cosmettically scratched or dead pixels etc.
What do you peeps recommend??
Refund - get something different with the cash.
Oh, baring in mind i got the LCD for £370.....do you still recommend me getting a refund??
Deffo nothing out there for that sorta price...
get the refurb if you dont like it- you can probably sell it for £300 and you've not lost out..
