    Scanner

I need a scanner for my sister (art college)

    Buget up to about £100

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...699124-9707864

That looks good or are epsona no go for scanners? What is the best brand?

Bear in mind i will also be getting a printer for about £100 (the canon IP5200, or mabe 4200, is speed the only difference?) so i could get an all in one but then printers always break so both would have to be thrown. And normally all in ones are poo, like shampoo

EDIT: does the one i linked to have OCR?

When I first looked at the specs of these printers before they came out, the difference was speed and size of the ink drops (droplets.) The ip5200 ones are half the size of the ip4200 - 1pl compared to 2pl....

The specs sheets now show that they are the same though...
    Woohoo now Assistant Manager!

I would suggest looking at HP, they have a good history with scanners. I have one and it has been very reliable.

I would agree with Tried&Tested - HP are good (been around in scanners for donkeys years). Also try looking at Epson as well they're reasonably priced (I've got a Epson 1200S and it's still going strong right now).
