SATA Drive problem

Hi,

I have two SATAII Western Digital 160gb hard drives. One of them I installed about 2 weeks ago. Then I got a 2nd one and put that one in on SATA-2. This one won't seem to appear in My Computer as a 2nd drive. What do I need to do. Does it need formatting or something before I put it in for it to show up?
I know that might sound stupid, but I havn't used SATA before.
