    Should a borked CPU still get hot?

    Think I borked my 1500XP yesterday - fan wasnt attached properly, however the CPU is still getting hot.

    Anyone know if this should happen?

    Looking for a cheap Athlon/Duron if anyone has one

    If theres still power going thru it it'll get hot, even tho its borked...

    Shame it wasnt a NF2 based mobo - would have more than likely saved it
