Just wondering what your favourite colour for a case is. I like BLACK for cases but wanna see what other people like!
Silver
Black
Beige
Other
Don't care as long as it isn't garish

Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
I like my case's charcoal grey. That way, I can still use beige drives and such without the colours clashing, as happens with black cases.
You can get black drives you know?Originally posted by eldren

True, but how much more do you pay for those, eh? Besides, I've yet to see a black removable harddrive bay.Originally posted by Trash Man

Vinly dye comes in black
See, that requires time and effort. Which is why I didn't buy a black case.Originally posted by Caged

@ eldren ..no time and effort??? that goes against every rule and guidance in the modders bible!! LOLOriginally posted by eldren

@ unrealrocks The options of black, silver, beige and other seems like the "other" category may cover up a LOT of creativity out there.
(My last case was DIY airbrushed with a black front which faded towards the back with purple and blue)

But, but, I'm not really a modder. Still, I know what you mean. Though, if you can avoid doing extra work while still having a stylish case, why not?Originally posted by Dazbo666

I've added my own option (I know, abuse of power ).
I don't care what colour my case is, privided it isn't one of those incredibly cheap looking things with bits of naff multi-coloured plastic all over it.
Other than that, I care what features it has (drive bays, cooling options, etc) but not at all what it looks like. My server is a cheap £25 jobbie with 6 x 5.25 bays (I needed the space), but another machine is a £200 Coolermaster.
I am not, as you might have gathered, a case modder. I buy, stick the hardware in and use, cheerfully forgetting the case itself.
Black is the most classy imo, clear (non coloured) cases are also very classy if they have the correct lighting etc in them imo to
I always had cheap ass cases and just got on with it...
...until a PSU blew and I looked for a good quiet alternative and ended up with an Antec Sonata case in 'Piano Black' with a quiet PSU in the deal. The black matches my keyboard, ouse, screen and is classy and understated.
Now I am in love with the shiny black and may spray my server.
BTW, the door on the Antec covers drives if they are not black (bought or painted). Nice.
Ah. That is a potential problem with cheap cases. But then my cheap £25 tower case has a £120 Delta 550w PSU in itOriginally posted by darkside

That's where I am heading next...
the cheap ass case with the blown PSU is getting a 120mm hole carved in the front and a nice (but not £120 nice ) PSU in there.
It did have some plastic cladding for 'stlye' that I thought was cool until it arrived. That is in the bin and bare metal panels full of holes rule the day until I break out the black spraypaint.
