What 939 HSF's you using ?

lol i dont even know what cooler i got at the mo... its some random one i bought at a computer fair...some chrome thing with a pretty small fan tbh...

im getting the gigabyte gpower cooler pro tho for my new pc

22C idle, 32C 100% load for 3 hours!

great!

now, if only the stupid fan on the dfi sli dr chipset was silent, then id be able to have the bloody thing on all the time!

The 9500 didnt get a great review in Custom PC's March issue. They have some good reviews on HSF's

I have just unplugged my chipset fan, with decent case airflow temps still don't rise above 50c so its not a problem and is silent.

Arctic Cooling Ultra TC-L 64

My temps are about 45 idle but it doesn't get much hotter than that under load, I think it's designed to keep the temp as close to that as possible by varying the fan speed. Worth pointing out is that it is whisper quiet, when the CPU is idle the fan barely spins at all and even stops for a few seconds at a time. Says a lot for the heatsink itself IMHO.

That said, when I installed it I just used the thermal material that came in the little tube along with the cooler itself rather than Arctic Silver or similar, I dunno how much difference that makes. Also it was the first time I'd ever used that sort of stuff so I may not have done it right

Arctic Silencer pro on my FX57, need something powerfull as with the fan on silent the CPU can get to 67 degrees

AMEN TO THAT!

Driving me mad mine is. I had to get a fan controller to shut it up. Its very high pitched and annoying.
