    Grrrrrr help please peeps

Chaps - small problem at work, you advice would be appreciated.

My colleague has a dinosaur laptop running Windows 98, there is a 270meg file that he is trying to retrieve off it, now apparently Win 98 doesn't support USB.

This morning he walks in with a USB pen-drive with drivers that apparently work with Windows 98/ Windows 98SE, so I plug it in, add new hardware, get it too look for the driver CD, and predictably it doesn't work

Is there a way for a Win 98 O/S to recognise USB ? Because I thought only Win 98SE supported USB.

Failing that, how the hell do we get this file off ? (no network card either btw)

    Wink

Win 98 supports USB all right.

However... unlike XP - which has built-in support for USB... you have to install USB drivers for whatever device it is you're using separately
