    Heatpipe chipset coolers

Are there any about? ive got the Abit Fatality SLI mobo and the noise from the chipset fan is drving me mad, cant stick a big passive heatsink on it as my 7800GTX covers it.
    Is there any solution?

The best solution for the DFI NF4 boards is the Evercool VC-RE GPU Cooler Copper. I ordered one from Canada as they can't be found in Europe ($20CDN).... http://www.mikescomputershop.com/pro...cat=103&page=1 and they accept PayPal.

I would have thought if there was a heatpipe chipset cooler it would stick out a lot too.

ive been looking at these....they seem to be really good or the other choice might be the blue Zalman Heatsink avail...but im not sure how much both would take as if ur OC'ing then theres the reason why it has the active fan,but if you still want the silence then get a apassive heatsink then try blow some airflow over it just to keep it in check.

but then arrises another problem....you board,as with DFI boards their southbridge is right next to the main pci-e slot and as with gfx cards getting longer it maybe alot more harder getting a aftermarket cooler to fit when ur gfx card is in place.

Sure it ain't silent but it is quiet, every DFI user has been happy after doing the mod - cooler NB and a lot quieter.

    Maybe try something like this
