SI-120 & appropriate fan?
I'll 2nd that. I got mine yesterday and all i can say it's spot on! It's lowered my idle temps by 9 degs and i can only just hear the fan attached.Quote:

Either the XP-120 or the SI-120. Just get the one that fits your mobo!
k, more surface area on the XP120 isnt there?
What about the XP-90C, hows this compair?
XP-90 is just as good but it's a little heavy as it's made from copper.
only the XP-90C is made from copper ;)Quote:

XP-90 is a good hsf but a 92mm fan has to run faster than a 120mm for same cfm all other things being equal & that means noiser.
Plus the 120mm cools a larger area of the board (RAM, MOSFETS).
double post
I run the XP-90 with a 92mm ys-tech quiet fan on it for my P4 3.2Ghz Northwood, even if I crank the juice and clock it the temps never rise above 2c than the stock temps, very good heatsink, its got my vote and as I would say the P4 will run hotter than the FX-57 it should do the job for you :)
Just had a look around and it looks like the XP120 is ever so slightly better performing and its cheaper so might get that one.

Thermaltake Big Typhoon - very quiet and does a damn good job of cooling CPU.
I like my CNPS9500LED, its awesome! Fantastic cooling!
