backing up

i dunno if this is right place but im gonna be backing stuff onto disk tomoz and wondering which parts of steam are advisable to backup? to make sure that steam recognises that i have cs source and dod source registered etc?....

Steam only _requires_ your password, as what you have bought is stored on the servers at Valve (so you can run your games on several PCs, but only be logged ont one at a time).

Personally, I back up the big files so they don't take all night re-downloading, and any save games I might be in the middle of. That means I end up backing up the whole lot
