just in quick response to that the 3800 is a good chip yer but how much more is it than the 3700?
coz that one has he better core and is easily overclocked 200 mhz to the same speed making it a 4000+ :)

If you're after some overclocking RAM then that Corsair isn't the best to go for as it's rather expensive for what you get. You can get some higher speed stuff (e.g. PC4000) with tight timings for about the same price or the equivalent for much cheaper (second one down with bright blue heat spreaders).Quote:

I have just got Seasonic S12 430w and a P180.
I got a lower rated PSU I was thinking about 500 or 600 after reading this: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article28-page1.html
I would point out I'm not sure how much power your video card would need.
There are a few comments about the case on a thread I started, including my initial thoughts: http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=64669
I'm currently messing about trying to make my current system quiet(er). I'll post what I have done on my thread a bit later, I'm still tinkering with it at the moment. Currently the fan on the motherboard is making the most annoying noise of all my components, I would suggest you get one of the motherboards with a heat pipe instead of HSF on the chipset (even if you end up with SLI and do not use it) - note I have old motherboard, circa 2001, so it might not be such an issue with newer boards (or maybe my fan is cream crackered).
I'll be interested to see what CPU, M/B and Memory you go for as I'm be getting something similar...unless the cheap Opterons turn up instock again.
so glad i have an opty
get the 3700 m8 its the one
