Okay, in the blue corner we have the Abit NF7-S weighing in at $95 (approx. 56 sterling).
In the red corner, weighing in at $115 (approx. 68 sterling), the

Abit, no contest :)
If the ABIT is a V2.0 then definitely the ABIT.
;) Got to be the Abit AFAIK, only the MSI if it was decently cheaper which is certainly isn't. No contest.
I got the MSI and I thnk it's great
I really like the fact that they have stuck an extra IDE channel on the board, controlled by the Serial ATA controller. So I can have all 3 of my IDE drives on seperate channels.
I know you can do this with the Abit, but you have to use an adaptor and stick it on one of the SATA connectors, which just takes up connectors.
The ONLY con with this board is that the 'S-Bracket', used to give you extra Audio outputs for 5.1 sound and SPDIF will not easily fit alongside any of the expansion ports in a case, as there is no proper gap in the resistors/bits on the motherboard edge on the bottom left of the board, so it hits these when you try to fit it.
But anyway I love this board, and I haven't heard any problems with the MSI SATA like the ABIT has had
PS: just about everyone in here is mad about getting a OC'ing mobo so they all gonna shout ABIT, but it's not really that much of a better OC'er :)
Gotta go with the Abit. The MSI just can't compete.
Why not ? Have you ever even used an MSI mobo ?Quote:

EDIT: I forgot to mention, you even get rounded cables with the MSI !! :)
So, most people advise the Abit over the MSI....one question.
Why?
Woah £56 for an NF7-S
You know, if you guys check out www.pricewatch.com, you can find some great deals. Of course, they're in $, but there are some good online currency converters, that way you can make comparisons. If you do find something at a massive reduction, and you ask me nicely, I could, perhaps, take the order for you and mail it on at no extra cost.
Just cos I'm nice like that. :)
Bad ain't it :(Quote:

The printer I am after is £75 over here, buy can be had for $39.95 in the states :(
Abit :)
and its even cheaper in Asia.... as you get further from Asia the price goes up! :( Solution move to Vietnam or Phillipines and live like a king. Or stay where you are an pay higher prices.
Or have a friend in said places and get them to ship you stuff cheap ;)
What about if we threw the Asus A7N8X series into the mix?
Whichever you can get the cheapest between the Abit and the Asus, both are excellent boards :)
