    Question Cooling Recommendations

Im currently looking to purchase several cooling items & need some advice.

Im after 1-3 socket 478 cpu coolers, obviously more air the better, but im now more after a quieter setup.

Im also after 80mm, 92mm & 120mm fans, again along the same lines.

ATM my pc sounds like a jumbo jet under my desk & if i want to have 3 pc's on, its got to be near silent!!

    Thanks

I think the Zalman CNPS9500LED is 478 compatable. Thats really good and very quiet.

As for Fans, I've heard good things about SilenX, Akasa Amber and Antec Stealth.

I'm running akasa amber fans and they're pretty good

Be warned though, to get a really low noice fan you either need to control the speed somehow. Most newer motherboards are able to control a couple of fan speeds. A simple way of limiting the speed of case fans is to make the supply voltage to them 7v instead of 12v
Of course, bigger fans are quieter, etc.
