    Foxconn 975XAB

    That's my board.
As you may remember, i was having problems with overclocking my CPU over 2.5ghz. It was the RAM that was in question, but now i've replaced my assorted RAM with 2gb OCZ Platinum 800mhz and i can't overclock as high as before. I decided to update my BIOS, and now, apparently, i'm running off of the backup BIOS, and i can overclock even LESS. (Timeline, from 326mhz-306mhz-296mhz now).

What the hell is up with that??

I know you're going to tell me its a crap Mobo... I've figured that one out. If no-one has any info in fixing this, what mobo can you recommend? I don't want to spend excessive amounts, to be honest, and i want pretty much the same features as my current one, but not a cheap, chinese peice of crap.

Gigabyte DS3 or Asus PB5 both start around £70/80 and are recommended for their oc potential.

with an E6400 you'll get a better overclock with a 965 (unless you need the dual x8 of 975 for Crossfire).

I like my QuadGT having switched from a Gigabyte DS4.

    MSI P55-GD80, i5 750
    abit A-S78H, Phenom 9750,
