    Mushkin redline 3.3v

I've just got hold of some new memory and its the Mushkin redline pc4000 2x512mb kit. Since buying i realised my foxconn motherboard can't supply the voltage that mushkin reccomend to keep these modules happy. Anyone know which motherboards can do 3.3v?

DFI or Abit, the only i know that allow >3v that i know out there. DFI in particular can go up as far as 4V IIRC. But seriously m8, if you're not gonna squeeze that lsat bit out of that kit there's no need for 3.3V, no RAM run @ 3.3V df.
    Primary kit:
    Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
    Epson RD-1

    Film Kit:
    Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2

    Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8

Buy the OCZ DDR Booster and you can adjust the voltage from there.

Well i'm no expert on overclocking but my system was pretty unstable when I set the command rate to 1T, so I've left it at 2T at the mo. The max my mobo will give is 2.8v. Here is an article on these modules http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2416

ps do you need 1 of those ddr boosters for each module?

The only thing youll find that will give you 3.3 is a DFI mate, my epox ones have all done 3.1, and i think thats about as close as youll get (DFI have an option to power the ram off the 5V line rather than the 3.3V that most manufacturers use). You only need 1 DDR booster, but tbh, youre wasting your time, a 3000 winchester isnt worth the effort, sell the redline, (people will pay silly money for stuff like that, especially if its BH-5) and use it to buy yourself 2Gb of value select, youll get a much bigger performance boost.

Even with an opteron, you dont need to overclock A64s one to one (unless youre worried about the size of your epenis) so Youll still need a new board though. I doubt that foxconn can match a decent opteron.
