About LinkBackshey guys was just wondering what you guys with software bios upgrade option, do you use it? becuase i herd floppy was still a much better and more reliable way of upgrading

I used a built in flashing utility once and killed a board, has never happened with the floppy option. Make of that what you will!
I have always just used aBit's windows flash tool. Worked great everytime. I don't see the point in making things more complicated, the end result is exactly the same.
FlashMenu works fine as long as you take a few precautions.
1. don't flash with an overclock, same as with a floppy
2. download the BIOS file locally & use the "update from file" mode rather than "1-click"
3. Clear CMOS after the flash, same as with a floppy
I always use the floppy method. Much less to go wrong i.e. you are not in a windows environment.
Most mobo manufacturers have a very simple floppy procedure these days. Asus has EZflash - just put floppy in boot up press F2 and the flash procedure works. I'm sure Abit will have a similar solution.

Tip 4. If the update fails, double check your BIOS is ok, DONT REBOOT.
