Apparently my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro is the wrong way round - its running fine but obviously it would be better if it wasnt!!
Is there anyway of turing it round so that it is correct? I have a DFI nf4 ultra-d

I don't think you can. It is kinda blocking my gfx and the cooling performance sucks.
I'm changing to a XP-90ST and hope that helps.

DFI's socket is rotated 90 degree, so the fan is either close to the PSU side or the GFX side. The fan is special, so it can only mount one way. There is only 1cm clearance to the GFX. But if you mount it on another side, it will blow air down and will compete with the PSU's fan for air, so it will reduce airflow to both PSU and the heatsink.Originally Posted by MON
On the other hand the Asus board have the "normal" arrangement which you mount it so the fan is blowing toward the exhaust fan, suck air in easier and somehow cool the ram as well.

I HAVE A A8N32-SLI with the 580W Tagan 2Force (miss the bottom fan) .. so it will be pointing to the back fan like your asus wot were yours temps then..
also you can adjust the 64 so it points that way (on the base)
The temp is 48'C Full load on 2.7Ghz 1.45V, with Arctic Ceramique kicked in, fan at full speed. Think it was about 44'C back on the Asus board. But whether the onboard sensor is accurate I've no idea.Originally Posted by MON

I have the arctic freezer 64 on my A8n-SLI. cooling is excellent.
My System: Coolermaster Centurion 5 (black) case, Intel E6750 Core2Duo, Tagan Easy-Con 530W, Asus P5B Deluxe WIFI, OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 4-4-4-15 PLATINUM XTC, Samsung SpinPoint 200Gb SATA2 / 2 x Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200Gb SATA, 256Mb Sapphire ATI PCI-E X1950PRO, Creative X-Fi Xtreme 7.1, 19" Daewoo W9ZQ Black Widescreen TFT, 4Mb Virgin Cable Broadband (formerly Blueyonder) with Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G and DD-WRT firmware.
mine idles at around 30 degrees, and i just used the TIM that was pre-applied to the heatsink. I'm well chuffed with it
I actually found the old freezer 64 to be better on my ultra-d because it was pointing towards the exhaust fan
