    Sound card upgrade

I've been thinking about getting a sound card to replace my onboard AC97 7.1 (MSI Neo 4 Ultra).

Looking at an Audgiy 2 or Audigy 4 as they have come down in price by a huge amount recently.

My main question is will I see a difference over my onboard sound? My second question is will I notice a difference between the Audgiy 2 and the Audgiy 4?

Frankly if you can get it then an X-FI Xtreme Music will be fantastic. Although and Audigy 2/4 (they're very similair) will give you a good increase they're nothing to what an X-Fi will do. I was stunned by the impovement from my onboard.

if gameing get a soundblaster (audigy or xfi).. the differace is Audigy 2 is 6.1 or Audigy 4 is 7.1 .. that is it ..no differace in hardware..if you are playing films on it get any .. or depends wot speaker set up you have

also the sb range take all the load off the cpu for processing sound so worth the upgrade

Ive got an X-Fi on the way, eheheh there supposed to be awesome.

An Audigy 2 ZS would probly be a decent upgrade, but id grab the cheapest X-Fi model. Good thing with sound cards is, they can last you years.
