    7 or 12 volt ???

    am i right 7 volt is motherboard 3 pin and 12 volt is standard 4 pin psu connection?

    it is for a CPU fan

    No, mobo is 12V also, but most will let you modulate it using a tool like speedfan. You can get 7V from a molex if you want to slow it down, google 7V trick

    so you get the best fan speed with mb .. also i am using speed fan .. i just plugged the 3 pin in the mb

    i did not use the molex and 3 pin male adapter

    You get the highest speed yes, I recommend turnign on speedfans auto setting, together with setting your desired temperatures in the configure page, i find i can run with my fans at about 45% at idle with no noticeable rise in temps.
