As you can guess from the title, I'm totally and utterly new to overclocking .
I would, of course, like to learn the basics (and hopefully more in the future), so that I can make the most of my system.
Here's my current system spec:
(CPU) 1-Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.00GHz, 1993MHz, 256KB (0% Load) .:.
(RAM) usage: 213/256MB (83.20%) .:. <-- speed = 133mhz
(GFX) geforce4 ti4600 128mb
(Display) 1024x768/16bit
(OS) Windows ME (4.90 - 3000)
(HDDs)18.7G/37.2G(50.2%) free
[report from an irc script]
sound card = SB Audigy
I have a few bits and bobs arriving in the mail tomorrow which will mean I will have 512mb more ram (making it 768mb total) and my OS will be upgraded to XP.
The motherboard I am using is:
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Model: D845HV
Version: AAA63927-304
BIOS Vendor: Intel Corp.
BIOS Version: HV84510A.86A.0018.P04.0107302001
BIOS Release Date: 07/30/2001
BIOS Charasteristics: Plug and Play, Flash, AGP
Any advice/help on how to get the best out of this machine will be most appreciated .
