Question "Patch" Cable? Is This a "Cross-Over" Cable:S

I'm lost... im on overclockers.co.uk now about to make my order but a need a large cross-over cable and in the network cables section there is only "Patch" cables... wtf is a patch cable i have only heard of cross-over and straight through.
so all i want t know is what is a "Patch" cable? is a cross-over cable or a straight through
all i want to do is link my main pc to another pc and give it access to my broadband... will this "patch" cable do this?
    cheers for enlightening my stupidity

Patch cable would generally mean a straight cable, not a crossover.

    If you're connecting PC-PC via network cards, you'll need a crossover. If you're connecting PC-Hub/Router/Switch you'll need a straight-through cable.

Phone overclockers and ask them what the cables are. Or go elsewhere - i.e. Maplin* have a 1m crossover for £4.99 or a 15m cable for £14.99...

    *other suppliers exist.
