    next genaration processers

    Hi

my current pc is a socket 754 amd 3200

    9800 pro ATI
    creative sound card
    1gb corsair value ram

which is still quite quick and i think i will wait till theres new processers befroe upgrading but im not sure if the new processers will be much faster than the current socket 939.

    any ideas?

whats next for processers and pcs?

    quad core?

or faster dual core pcs if they can cool em?

any other surgestions of pcs in the future

It's all speculations now. But I think the consensus is that early AM2 processors won't be a huge leap compared to the current 939.

If you are not in a hurry, you can always wait for it, and decide when they are released. Chances are, they will be a cost premium over the 939, and you would be able to get one for cheaper then (knowing of course, that it is end of the line - but should hold its own until the next upgrade).
