is what I hear when I cold boot - seems to eminating from my nice new 160g SATA. I POST, get past the SATA BIOS thing and just before windowsXP kicks in, whirrrrrrrrrr click, whirrrrrrrrrr click
press the reset button, and usually everything is peachy. I hope it's not a head crash, but I think maybe my PSU is giving out. Anyone know if this could be possible?
I'm running an Asus A7N8XD with 2100+, Corsair 2x256 PC2700, Ti4200 128mb, DVD, CDRW, 160g SATA, and 2x80g ATA133 - oh and 2 case fans
All this is being powered off an Antec True Power 380w max - I've tried a different SATA drive to see, but it also clicks - I've pulled out the connectors for the opticals, and everything seems ok so far...
