CPU Water Block Advice
im just about to fit my very first watercooling system and am just a little nervous about connecting my water block to the board (i really dont wanna damage my board or beloved Opteron)
I have an alphacool waterblock as shown here:

now the problem is i can see how it attatches, there is a big screw which goes through the middle of the bracket and into the waterblock.
For a first time user im not sure if i want to go ahead and use this waterblock as i can see myself damaging the board or chip - i already wrecked a radiator :embarrassed:
Can anyone either give advice on how to connect it properly, or recommend another waterblock about £25-£30 which is going to be easier to connect.
Sorry to be such a noob  i just want to do it right

How the hell did you manage to wreck a rad? That looks remarkably easy to fit tbh fit your tubes, leak test, past up your cpu, put the bar across, tighten screw. Whats hard? You wont find a water block (that ive seen at least) that uses the standard lever mount. Just tighten the screw till its tight, as long as you arent there with some kind bodybuilder on the end of a scaffold pole tightening it youre fine.

i was bolting it only my case and a put a screw through one of the water lines
ok well i'll give it a try, its just that the screw is pretty big, so i assume that its not going to go flush with the bracket?

id be incredibly surprised if it did. Just use your common sense, when its tight leave it at that.

cool i'll try it - cheers for help
